WIGMAN’s brand story
begins with my own 15-year struggle with hair loss.
I’m LeeChen. I’ve been dealing with hair loss for over 15 years and once spent NT$100,000 on a hair transplant. My journey started back in 2010 and continues to this day.I have been fighting hair loss for 15 years. It's not easy.Just like everyone who lose hair.I’ve tried seeing dermatologists, taking hair growth medication, applying hair growth treatments, using hair fibers, trying folk remedies, even eating wood ear mushrooms and spraying ginger on my scalp? (laughs). I wore hats every day to hide my hair loss.In the end, I finally gathered the courage to get a hair transplant, but I still couldn’t achieve the hair volume and versatile hairstyles I had always wanted.。
Hair loss made me more timid and less confident.
Hair loss affected every part of my work and life. Day after day, it left me mentally drained, less productive, and unable to fully enjoy life.Even my courage to pursue love was weighed down bymy insecurity.
2017,I was once a singing and dancing artist under Dong Sheng Records. After being drenched in sweat on stage, I was truly afraid that fans would notice my hairloss.Whenever I faced the gaze of my boss, manager, and stylist — or whenever my hair loss was mentioned — that embarrassment and shame followed me like aghost, all the way until I leftthecompany.
Joy usUntil I found Wig/Toupee
One day, I discovered wigs. After trying one for just a week, I truly gained access to more versatile hairstyles and fuller, more substantialhairvolume.More importantly, I had more energy to focus on my life and work, andI finally regained a sense of controlovermy life.。
That made me start thinking: if wigs could accompany me through change, could they also accompanymore brothers and players on their own journeys??With that belief, I founded WIGMAN together with my co-founder Ray, my junior high school classmate. We hope that wigs and hairpieces can support more men step by step as they become more confident, courageous, and readyto face new challenges.
